Šiauliai Railway Museum excursions and educational activities
Pre-registration for tours/educational activities is required.
- Indoor and outdoor exhibitions can only host one tour/educational activity at a time
- Group registration is limited to one excursion/educational activity per day – indoor or outdoor
- Minimum number of participants – 10 persons
- Organised groups of visitors without a guide must register in advance.
Educational activity "Be Safe"
The educational activity teaches how to behave safely on railways and the dangers of not following the rules of safe behaviour. During the session, a quiz will help to repeat and memorize the rules of safe behaviour. It is a knowledge testing game in which two groups of students will compete by answering questions.
The lesson also includes a tour of the outdoor exhibition, a film, a demonstration of the layout of the trains, and ticket marking.

Educational activity "Profession of a Railway Worker"
Students will learn about the professions of the workers who work at the railways. Which tools and instruments were used in the past, and how the nature of the work has changed over more than 100 years. The Museum's exhibits are the main witnesses of change. To consolidate their knowledge, students will do a crossword puzzle.
The lesson also includes a tour of the outdoor exhibition, a film, a demonstration of the layout of the trains, and ticket marking.

Educational tour "The History of Šiauliai Railway"
After the construction of the Libau–Romny Railway, Šiauliai railway station was opened on September 4th, 1871. The first train arrived in Šiauliai and thus began the history of the Šiauliai railway.
Educational tour also includes visiting of the entire outdoor exposition and watching the documentary about Šiauliai.
